ABC, which was shown initially at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery in 1993, was intended to deconstruct a simple communication process by disjoining an interactive loop, demonstrating how the media serves as interpreter and filter of the message it conveys.

 

The installation was executed using the technology of the time but with today's advancements new dimensions can be brought to ABC. Using cell phones and computers we can add mobility and the ability to monitor from a fourth station the three active channels. With web and smartphone applications, the work could be engaged virtually anywhere and by anyone.
